Third Grade Film Festival!

Our third grade class has been hard at work shooting and editing their short films about government laws and school rules. On Monday, June 3rd, Mr. Kelly and I will host a casual and fun “film festival” for the third grade students to view each other’s iMovie projects.

Filmmakers will present their group projects and discuss what it was like to make a movie from start to finish with their fellow classmates.  What did they love the most about this project? You’ll find out soon! Footage from our festival presentations will be posted right here to this blog shortly after.

Teachers: Do you have a student blogger who might be interested in covering our film festival? Email vscott@delmarpines.com to find out more about press passes!

Fourth Grade Filmmakers

The fourth graders are hard at work on a special movie project for social studies. Students are directing short biographical films for Miss Myers’ Famous Californians unit. I must say, from Walt Disney to Dorothea Lange, we have quite an impressive group of Californians!

Each student even brought costumes and props to help describe his or her famous Californian. This was our first class session filming on the iPads, and it’s really exciting!
